What is Mode Kitchen & Bar?
June 29, 2017 Mode Kitchen & Bar

New CBD restaurant Mode Kitchen & Bar was created in response to the increasing demand from Sydneysiders and city visitors alike for a simple and uncomplicated yet utterly memorable dining experience.

Mode, meaning “of the moment”, celebrates the classics in a contemporary way, delivering simple dishes executed exceptionally well.

Sitting somewhere between casual bistro and fine dining, the restaurant brings together an unpretentious and welcoming setting with a touch of glamour, combined with friendly and genuine service with polish, and food that embodies great cooking, delicious flavours and brilliant produce.

Italian-born Sydneysider Francesco Mannelli (ex Balla, Est. and Uccello) is responsible for the deliciously fresh and moreish dishes coming out of the restaurant’s open kitchen, while passionate Restaurant Manager, Simone Cordedda delivers the Mode experience to the table along with his experienced, intuitive team.

The beautiful interiors by Sydney’s award-winning Luchetti Krelle draw inspiration from the refined glamour of the golden 1920s but a modern twist. The restaurant is tucked behind elegant fluted glass, and kitted out with stunning brass pendant lights, lush leather seating, Scandi-style wooden floorboards and marble-topped tables.

Open 12:00noon and 10:00pm every day of the week, Mode gives visitors the freedom to enjoy dining experiences on their own watch and as they please, from a quiet coffee in the cosy banquettes, a classic cocktail at the central bar, a business lunch in the dining room, or a long, leisurely lunch or dinner at the Chef’s Table.
